One could never discuss the BKF chair without mentioning Buenos Aires. Not only the city where two of its makers were born, it is also the city where its design was forged.

Against a backdrop of departure from the trends of the time, Buenos Aires was a participant in the Modernist revolution in the world of architecture and design. The Butterfly Chair is the result of this revolution, of this transition toward others, fresher, renovated ideas. In the middle of this rupture process, this mythical icon of design was born, a vivid representation of the ideas and will of three of the instigators of this change of paradigm in the world of architecture.
